Busifer, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you and your family will feel better when you can.

-----

The ebook and audiobook versions of Tracker have downloaded, and the hardback is on its way, and should arrive this week, maybe by tonight, but more likely, by Friday or so.

Sometimes, pre-order shipments arrive a bit sooner than expected.

Neco-ji, there will be a wait time for your in-print copy to ship from the USA to you, with much of that on both ends, sitting and waiting in customs, before it arrives on your doorstep. In my experience, it depends very much on what kind of item it is (books may go more quickly) and on relationsh between the two countries. (Extra waiting on both ends if the two have a, ah, dysfunctional relationship. Not much delay in the case of a book moving between two such friendly countries, but still, more than one might expect.)

Thanks, everyone.

My FIL had advanced Alzheimer's, but what got him was leukemia. All in all he lived a good life and while we're all sad that he's left us he really did leave several years ago, when he stopped recognizing his wife (my husband's step mom) or his son. He was spared attending my mother in law's funeral two years ago as he didn't remember once being married to her.

A hard and difficult time, but he lasted an agonizing four weeks after the doctor pronounced he would leave us within the week.

Not every death is an easy one but now, at last, he's free from pain.

My sympathies on your loss, Busifer, and thank you for reading (typing?) to us.

My hardback arrived a day early on Monday, possibly because I had another order coming.

You don't have to tell me! I tell all my soap customers out of country to wait at least two weeks for their orders to arrive, or to pay for extra shipping in order to get it there express. :P

Books tend to arrive in two weeks or so (for airmail to Oz, that's pretty average). I'm going away for 8 or 9 days starting today, so it should arrive after I'm back home.

--------

My condolences to you Busifer, in this sad and distressing time. Thank you so much for posting the excerpts here. :t
