The wonderful arrival of little Inara occurred April 21st. We are thrilled, awestruck and somewhat sleepy. All is going well and our little girl is amazingly active and keeps us busy. Please let me be the first to say Inara is a beautiful baby! She is absolutely adorable -- congrats to all. Well done! :rose2: BTW -- the long white gown she is wearing in her "go home" pic -- it looks embroidered and quite special. Is it a family heirloom? Also -- can you believe all the laundry & time one little tiny person requires!?! Shocking!! |

The long white gown was first used about 70 years ago when her great grandmother was born in the same hospital. The maternal line has used it for coming home ever since. |

My first guess would be that the proud parents are Browncoats (i.e. Firefly/Serenity fans).... My how time flies...it seems like just yesterday that you announced Pumpkin's imminence...congratulations! |

Also: In Hittite - Hurrian mythology, Inara was the daughter of the Storm-god Teshub or Tarhunt and the goddess of the wild animals of the steppe (in Greek mythology: Artemis). |
