I wonder what kind of math consciousness is seeping into the Mosphieran culture. Even though it is so adamantly insular, with the space program there has to be some sort of general cross pollination going on. (apologies to my fellow allergy sufferers) |

Bren reveals that Mospheiran buildings are influenced by atevi size and scale - and that there is a thriving smuggling business for atevi art and fabrics. I would suspect a little superstition about 'unlucky' numbers to have crossed over - and Bren also mentions actively working to change Mospheiran attitudes toward processed meats, for instance to be more 'kabui' like (with mixed success). Are there pets? Have the Mospheirans semi-domesticated something local? I can't imagine that somebody didn't at least try to do so. Do atevi have pets? They have domesticated animals, they just don't seem to raise them for slaughter. Do they eat them when they naturally die? Some cultures have domesticated animals (sheep, goats, camels) and they don't keep them for meat, but they DO slaughter and eat them if they become injured or just get old. Is that 'kabui'? |

I would say that what Cajeiri used on ship to contact his associates was something like MSN or ICQ and the mainland was probably using electronic mails to contact, which sometimes can take bit of time to arrive. This may explain why Tabini was surprised by his son. :baji |
