I just saw that there were posts after mine - I apologize for the inattention. Yes - that's EXACTLY what I look like most mornings. *shakes fist at next generation* My best friend's birthday is on March 26th; we tend to smash our parties together. This year was different. We threw a small gaming-party for her (cake, lasagna, Dungeons and Dragons - she didn't know about the food part). Then SHE threw a gigantic series of...happenings...for me. 12 hours of Rock Band on the 27th (and food, and a ginormous gin and tonic for me) Then the Herbfarm on the 28th. 4+ hours of food, 9 courses - it was truly stsho in its elegance. Not quite as pastel - a tad "colorful". But delectable. Monday was somewhat quiet - which was good, after a weekend of WACKINESS. The actual 1st consisted mostly of me wasting the day trying to renew my driver's license. Then food at the inestimable Cedars on Brooklyn (Indian food - going out of business, very sadly...best chai *ever*), and a trip to Scarecrow Video to get the Bladerunner "briefcase" for BluRay. I have a tiny foil origami unicorn on my desk now, reminding me that Gaff will *not* be hunting Rachel. I went back to work on the 3rd - and they SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Damn kids. It was a fantastic series of days - and I thank you for your well wishes too. Yes, I live on the Wet Side; always have (well, since '79 - prior to that I lived in Portland). :fluffy: |
