Thought y'all might be interested to know:

Our :cherryh: 's brother David inked nine pages of Phil Foglio's pornographic comic book xXxenophile. Interestingly enough, he inked the book's titular story (why Foglio waited for issue 5 to feature "xXxenophile: The Story" is beyond me).

As you were ...

I've uploaded the cover, credits page, and first nine pages (the complete first story) to my webspace for download.

Aw, well. Heavy Metal goes puberty-brochure (um, called "Fi**heftchen" in German).

Actually I'm glad he didn't draw it.

Is there a comic on this planet about a monstrous female of another species and a yummy human male, I wonder?

I'm only halfway through the xXxenophile series at #5. I'll let you know.

That was...sad. Pitiful, really. *winces* A plot, a plot! My Province for a PLOT!
I can understand that one is paid to contribute to a comic, and that comics do require artists, but...that was just...
Ow.

I used to enjoy Foglio's What's New? in Dragon magazine back in my pre-'teens (posted a link to one in the Cthulhu thread), and was reminded of him while listening to an old Geek Fu Action Grip podcast which mentioned xXxenophile in passing. Apparently his main project these days is Girl Genius which I plan to check out next. Do you read it, griffinmoon?

I'm not griffinmoon....but I read Girl Genius (found here http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/ ); I like it a lot. The problem is, they don't seem to have the previous strips available as archives (at least, not that I know of). It used to be that the older strips were available as Girl Genius 101, and the current strips were the Advanced Class. Then, apparently, bandwidth for the month was being exceeded (I think that's what it was; I'm only minimally computer-literate), so they had to cut back. As far as I know, you can now only get the earlier strips by buying it as bound reprints. :(

Sadly, one has never seen/read Girl Genius, far to poor more of these many years to even look at things that might be desired *sigh*. However, I did read Myth Adventures done by him :inlove: until he quit it (apparently in a fit of peak at being pressured to produce it, I'd have sat & waited patiently) *double sigh*. Did not like his replacement.

Not so, from what I understand. Apparently the two lines were merged into one continuous story which begins here.

And griffinmoon, it doesn't cost anything more than what you're paying for 'net access to read a webcomic.

Girl Genius is wonderful, one fully recommends it to everyone. It updates MWF, and yes, once the (web) reprint caught up to the current storyline, they merged the archives. Agatha Clay (nee Heterodyne) is a Spark (mad scientist). Wackiness ensues. Also, check out Buck Godot, Zap Gun for Hire (T, Th). They also republish the What's New with Phil and Dixie on Sundays. Great sense of humour throughout, with Real Live Plots.
