I'm still hoping they bring the series back to TV.

One has only seen the Serenity movie but loved it to pieces. If only one could get one's hands on the actual show!

According to their Web site, the (U.S.) Sci-Fi cable channel will be showing the series. http://www.scifi.com/firefly/

It's also available on DVD. Many libraries lend DVDs, although it should also be available in video rental outlets or for purchase through your favorite purveyor of fine DVDs.

Whoo! One hopes this may lead to another series! :fluffy:

And Nad'Asicho

If you have Netflix, they carry the series. That's how I saw it. I don't have cable television at all, but rent those television shows that get the most positive press. This saves me from many, many tv commercials ... :shoot:

Oh, and :sor: reality shows. :sob:

Oh, not all reality shows are bad, only most of them. :atwink Police ride-along shows are a major staple for me. FutureWeapons, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Bounty Girls, and I did (strangely) actually like The Osbournes. I also like offbeat competitions like Ninja Warrior, Iron Chef and Iron Chef America.

When I was over at :cherryh: & Jane's tonight, I forgot to ask what the computer situation was: if they are off-line (see Herself's Progress Report).

They are decorating the house for Christmas. I made the fatal mistake of talking to Carolyn while absently scratching Ysabel :Acat: behind the ears. Ysabel immediately reminded me exactly who I should be paying attention to when she bit my forefinger: hard. It barely broke the skin, but it still hurts, 4 hours later!

Try aloe, it might relieve the sting. :) Or Bactine.

Us kitties can be very precocious. :Acat:

We packed it in ice immediately, as soon as I washed it well. Poor Carolyn was extremely apologetic. She felt terrible! Ysabel nailed her finger once to the bone, & Herself ended up on IV antibiotics. Ysabel, a very sensitive, purebred Siamese, had a very difficult childhood before Carolyn adopted her, and she :Acat: still bears some of the psychic scars. (And you wonder where :cherryh: gets her ideas? )

The finger is a little swollen, but seems to be improving. I suspect some bruising may occur. I'm watching it like a hawk: cats carry Pasturella in their mouths, which can cause a serious, raging infection (to the point of death). :knife:

Ah! Now it all becomes clear -- tell the folks in the Flux thread!

My Daughter-in-law's psychotic cat clawed her in the lip last year; she needed 3 stitches and a whole schedule of antibiotics for that Pasturella reason.

I hate that cat.

Our cat was never so violent as that. She liked to chase and play with our toes, but never caused us that kind of harm.

But i had no idea of the Pasturella thing. >.>

Ow! You have my sympathy! Bad kitty!! Do keep an eye on that bite, Nadi.

I got nipped by our new pup when she got her foot caught between the car seats recently, so I know it can hurt! I hope you're feeling well very soon!
