I just got back from the land of the Idahos. And I have the photos to prove it!

Here I am with my two grand babies on my knees as if I were Santa Claus!

Heh-heh. and for once Erin's the big one! You look kind of happy, Spence-ji!You're going to have to be on the road to Idaho a lot over the next few years, one expects.

Friday I drove to the Salt Lake area of Utah from Vegas, Saturday we drove to Rexburg, Idaho and BACK, in a snow storm! then Sunday we drove from SLC to Vegas; SO, here I am setting in my first period class of the day and very much wanting a nap!

My daughter-in-law gave me a huge cat that is colored like an ocelot. We love him, but our two dogs are still need getting adjusted to the idea. Driving over 400 miles with a cat in a carrier in the back seat is a novel experience.

Oh dear, I keep forgetting to update this. Even when I'm not doing anything I'm busy it seems.

So, here's my favorite of the pictures taken while the fam was here:

And a picture of Erin and her new friend Lily (my friend Amber's baby), who was born Sep. 18:

We kept Max in the carrier the whole trip and ate outdoors with him in the carrier next to us. We carried him into the house, in the carrier, and let the dogs sniff the carrier. Then Zac took him into the bathroom where the litter box was and closed the door before letting him out. I then took the dogs (who hadn't seen us for 3 days --the other son had come to feed them in our absence) for a long walk. Max was able to get used to the house with the dogs gone. He claimed the sewing room as his, but is now sitting in the hallway as the dogs are setting in the TV room in plain site. I think they will all learn to 'Just get along!' in short order.

Awww, such soft cuddly skin and little tiny rolls of baby-fat!

And when she's lying next to newborn Lily, you can really tell how much she's grown. Go, go, Erin-ji, go!

OH MY OH MY. my darling little virtual adoptive grandbaby doesn't look particularly virtual any more! she's getting so big! and yet, compared to her RL granddaddy, still very tiny indeed. such huge dark eyes, so very intent! Thanks, Shlinas, for sharing these new ones. I check this thread every day, you know.

edited to add, that halloween picture is rather fetching.

Spence-ji, your Max looks like my old Dewey. long gone but never forgotten. If he's any relation he'll be a very fine feline indeed.

Shilinas-ji, what on earth are you trying to feed my virtual grandbaby? She looks as if she thinks it would work better as a new face cream. On the other hand, that giraffe looks mighty tasty. :inlove:

What this?

It's rice cereal. She doesn't like to eat it much at the moment, but we're playing with it. As soon as she gets the whole SWALLOWING thing down, then we'll try vegetables!

Here's a random sampler

IIRC sitting up shortly precedes hauling oneself upright using convenient table runners

Shli, it may be time to start moving valuable crockery and porcelain to higher ground :atwink
