I notice two things:

1. The font-family used inside the quote tag and inside the Post Reply textbox is Arial instead of Verdana. Is this perhaps something that was unintentionally missed in altering the .css files, or an intentional change?

2. The new graphics-with-embedded-text images, such as in the forum-header and in the view-topic and reply-to pages, are a little small to read the art deco font clearly, for me, at least, on my laptop's widescreen monitor. The art deco font is fine, and it's possible to read, if I really squint. This might only be me, my eyesight. Is it problematic for members with glasses / nearsighted / farsighted? -- I'd think the minor but annoying and time-consuming process of increasing the font-size and therefore the image width and height and recasting (ick, long and involved) would resolve that. Say two to four pixels or printer's points larger in font-size?

* Uh, btw, what *is* the name of the font-family being used there? It's nice! smile.gif

** I can scale (zoom) the page size up and down as needed, in Firefox, so the text-as-text font-sizes are not critical. smile.gif

Hmm, there was no Arial left in the CSS. Apparently Verdana wasn't inherited on later font declarations.

I think it's more of a problem with the bigger screen resolution. ateviwink.gif
Actually I anticipated that problem for some time now, it should crop up with the emoticons, too. And is one of the reasons I switched from pre-defined font sizes to browser-controlled ones.
I tried just increasing the font size within the buttons, which was a matter of two minutes. If that doesn't solve the problem, than it gets "ick, long and involved". atevi.gif Since it would mean recreating the left picture so the bars, which run into it, fit again.

Uuui, I think now they are a bit large. Maybe I'll try another, pictureless, solution at another time. Next few days will probably be hectic.

I know it under name Semiramis.

I hate side-specific zoom and have set my browser to display "too small" text at a more comfortable size. I know that Opera can zoom the pictures alongside with the text.

Sabina, I just switched over to the forum.shejidan.net site and I love it. I like having the old graphics back. I am on firefox and have no problems at all.

Yay, the graphical-text buttons are a fine size now, thanks.

Huh... well, something's changed in the .css today. The quote tags now show in Verdana, and the Reply textbox is showing in Courier MS.

I realize it could take a while for changes to ripple through the servers across the web. smile.gif

Looking good!

Thanks, Sabina!
