![]() This is a character from Bleach. His name is Kurosaki Ichigo (and he is human) but he is also a part time shinigami (death god). Deep inside his soul however is a Hollow, a creature that is very powerful and eats souls to feed the forever lasting emptiness in it's existence. This is my version of his inner hollow manifested in real time. He has a long orange mane, shoulders spikes and a tail, holding the long black sword that is Ichigo's trademark in the series, and beginning to fire a Cero (Soul Flash) blast from his fingertips. He was drawn on paper, in pencil, and took about an hour total. Bleach has been a great inspiration for my recent drawings. I love to draw the clothing styles and different masks for the Arrancar (Arrancar are Hollows that had removed their masks to obtain shinigami powers. They are really hard to explain in the scheme of things if you don't follow Bleach). The following characters are my own, and not a part of Bleach: ![]() This character I called Widow Maker X, 'cause she just looks dangerous standing there. Her Hollow form (before she removed her mask) was a huge horned serpent (still yet to be drawn) that was completely armored in long spikes and heavy scales. The broken mask atop her head is a remnant of her hollow mask, the long horns and spikes slightly curved and pointing both up and down, like a really scary helmet. Drawn on paper, took about an hour, and yes, her hair is light blue and black tipped. You can't see it in this picture, but she has a black X marked on the left side of her face. Her coat was especially fun to draw. ![]() This is another character I drew, and the only name I could think of to call him was The Pied Piper. I originally only drew this three quarter backview. When I drew the spikes around his head I thought "Hmm....what kind of mask would The Pied Piper have?" I also new that he liked the color emerald, so gave him emerald hair, left eye, scabbard, hilt and four emerald rings (you can't see them, he's got his hands in his pockets). Just like the others, on paper, pencil, only he took a half hour, as I was getting into the swing of things by that time. ![]() ![]() Remember how I asked what Piper's mask looked like? Well, here it is (on the left). It took a long time to figure it out, and I still don't have a perfect spiral for it, but's supposed to ressemble a seashell. The holes in the mask are used to sing a kind of hypnotizing song that causes distortion's and illusions in the vision and mind, and he uses it to cause confusion and distraction. I really like how I got the masculine profile as well. I usually have a hard time drawing male characters because I never quite get that angular quality right. And yes, the mask covers up his right eye. Then I was really bored last night in two hours on MSPaint, I enlarged the picture, and went over it again to make it more vivid and cool. And that's the pic on the right. ![]() This character is a bit of a mystery to me right now. I drew her a couple days ago (she was really quick too, about a half hour), and I had an idea of what her zanpakutou shikei (initial release) was (the 'powered up' form of her sword, that which, for Arrancar, binds itself to the body, unlike that of a shinigami's, which you'll see later...) The zanpakutou's name is "Honetora", Bone Tiger, which results in a huge skeletal tiger emerging, binding to her body at a place just under the shoulder blades, and creating long limbs, tail and toothy skull, that act as extensions of her own body. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to drawing that yet, but when I do, you know it'll appear here. All I know of her so far is that she calls herself "Kaizu" and has a single, diamond shaped plate of bone (the remains of her mask) on her forehead, usually covered by her hair, and that she likes to wear volumnous clothing, thus the huge sleeves and very loose hakama (pants). ![]() ![]() Here are two shots of the same picture. This is a younger version of my current story character, Kuroda Ayumi. Yes, she does have very long hair, the sword that she is holding is the shikei of her zanpakutou Buraindoragon (Blind Dragon). The hilt and gaurd are a dragons head and horns, and the blade is forked, like a long tongue. You can't see it very well in this pic, but the blade smokes. And that is a collar and chain that she wears as well (a leftover of her history) ![]() And this is a scratchy pic of her that I did on Paint, trying to get down an image of her older, blind self. She has much shorter hair, and wears a blue-black cloth around her ruined eyes. The chain runs from her collar and attaches to the hilt of her sword. -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P

Cool pics, Neco!
Regarding the Ichigo pic, I've seen about 40 or so episodes of Bleach. Haven't had time to keep up with it, but it was an interesting show. I didn't realize Ichigo was part Hollow? Is that a new development then? o.O I like Widow Maker X's costume. |

You may have to add the "SPOILER" tag to this thread; I've only read the first few issues of the collected manga -- I left off where Rukia was under threat of execution in the city of the reapers/deathgods and Ichigo & co. were trying to break into said city. They'd just met the one-armed chick, and were going to attempt the human-cannonball trick. How far back in the story am I?!

I didn't put a spoiler because I figured it was far enough ahead that it would only confuse the reader (and quite frankly, make them catch up!
You can see all the episodes of Bleach on Youtube, just search for "Bleach *enter episode number of choice*" and it'll come up for you. Ichigo had a hollow in him since he regained his shinigami powers (If you remember his 'study group' with Urahara Kisuke, that's the part where the hollow becomes part of him) but you don't really see that manifest until later (I won't tell what episode, sorry, but you can look it up when you have time. It's really cool! -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P

![]() Here is an elarged and clarified image of Widow Maker X. It took me three hours on Paint (meaning I just finished her a few minutes ago! -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P

![]() Okay, this one started off as an innocent doodle, and instead turned into this neat creature. I was originally calling her a half dragon, but it's very likely going to change into some entirely different species, judging by the way my imagination is classing them, and putting them into types, and building a whole fantasy world around them. She's a member of the commoner caste, told by the shape and size of her tail blade (as opposed to the smaller, much more petite ones of those of higher caste). She's of the harvester type, who live in the very tall forests and mountainous regions, in charge of crops and nature management. She is shown poised casually in a natural rock chimney, holding onto the tip of her tail blade. Pencil, hand drawn, took about a half hour. ![]() This is her again, enlarged and colored in MSPaint. Took three days of off and on work. Colors suggested by Hakikkt. ![]() This is another posing of the same creature. Pencil, half hour total. I have another on the way, hopefully soon! . -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P

![]() And there he is! This is the one that I promised earlier. He's a water type; note the way his tail blade is actually five flat blades that can be switched open and closed, like a fin. In fact, that's what's it's used for: a fin. When swimming, he adjusts the blades to provide a push force under water. In this, I'm not sure what he's doing, but it looks kinda like he's clinging to a bell rope, or something. I just thought his pose was really fun to draw, so I did it. I have no idea what his coloring is to be yet. Pencil, hand drawn, took an hour and half while I was sitting on my bed. -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P

![]() This is Matuka, or rather, the upgrade from the original. Three days off and on work, pencil. She's covered in a coat of very thick fur that is golden brown color mottled with black spots (obviously she's black and white and shades of grey in this pic). -------------------- "Where iz we going, and why iz I in this handbasket?" -Joe, because I think he's funny :P
